Hi! I’m Melody!

Did you know that my last name is pronounced “Troll,” like the kind that lives under bridges in fairy tales? Isn’t that funny?! I love fairy tales! My first memory of reading is from before I could actually read. I was sitting on my carpeted bedroom floor, feet tucked beneath my body, flipping through the picture book version of Sleeping Beauty “reading” aloud to the air (and my stuffies) the story I had memorized. My first memory of writing is from grade school days, and it came out as poetry. I was sitting in a window seat watching the rain, and words came pouring out with it.

Now, my life is full of words! I get to read them, write them, study them, and teach them at work and at home alongside my husband and children in our little home bursting with books and surrounded by gardens.

Words have superpowers! I feel God in them. I hear His Son speak through them. I see His Spirit move with them. It is a gift to wield them. And it is my hope that you, too, connect to our Father with the words He’s given me to share.
